The first Forum of Material and Genetic Engineering was successfully held in Guangzhou from November 22 to 24, 2017. Thirty-two academicians from home and abroad, and more than five hundred well-known experts participated in the forum. Forty domestic and foreign academicians and nearly 1,000 well-known experts participated in the second forum which was successfully held in Beijing from October 14 to 16, 2018. The second forum has played a positive role in promoting the formation and dissemination of disruptive new concepts and methods for materials development and promoting the development and application of key technologies in the field of materials and genetic engineering.

To further promote the development and application of corresponding basic theories, cutting-edge technologies, and key equipment, as well as to stimulate international exchange and accelerate the development and application of new materials in China, the “CAE International Top-Level Forum: The Third Forum of Materials and Genetic Engineering” will be held in Kunming, Yunnan from November 22 to 24, 2019. The third forum will be hosted by the Chinese Academy of Engineering (CAE) and Chinese Materials Research Society (C-MRS), and will be jointly organized by the Yunnan Provincial Academy of Science and Technology; Sino-Precious Metal Holding Co., Ltd.; University of Science and Technology Beijing; Industrial Development and Promotion Center of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology; Chemical, Metallurgy and Materials Division of the CAE; and the Beijing Advanced Innovation Center for Material Genetic Engineering.

Well-known experts from home and abroad will be invited to give keynote speeches at the main forum and sub-forums. The majority of the speeches at the forum will be given by invited speakers; however, the forum will also accept free submissions of research reports. If you intend to submit research reports to the forum, please send the summary of the report and your resume (limited to two A4 pages) to the forum’s official email address prior to July 31, 2019. The submitted reports will be reviewed by the forum’s expert panel, and the qualified authors will be accordingly invited.
